Apologies for the pause in service

It may (or may not 😁) have escaped your attention, dear readers, that there has been slight hiatus in proceedings with this blog.

I blame myself - service was much more regular when I limited our valiant blogger to 100 photos a day (I technically suppose I should insert a link to flickr here but I like to encourage self reliance 😋) - the time it takes the pilot to 'curate' the images means the blog has fallen behind.

Captain Jack has asked me to assure you all that normal proceedings will be resumed shortly and this blog will not be a repeat of the Newfoundland and Labrador blog - which never got finished!!

  1. The pictures on Flickr are very welcome. They tell the story in a different way.

    1. Yes Robin and I have plenty of notes to make on the blog, just no time to do them. It has been a busy, but enjoyable holiday. A long way to come but well worth the effort to get the reward.

    2. Nearly 7000 pictures uploaded. Well done both, for taking them, curating them and then sharing.

  2. As long as you're both OK, that's the main thing. Don't let us (or the blog) cut across your enjoyment of a great holiday!

    1. Thanks Patrick,

It has been an amazing holiday, full of great pleasure.

One less appealing bit to come. 19 hours of flying with a one hour 20 stop over between the steps.

The clock may say we leave at five minutes past Midnight and land in London at 12.25pm, but in actual time it is a lot longer. Still, this is why we paid that bit extra to fly business class I hope I sleep as well with Emirates as I did with Qantas!

    2. I need a direct line to Captain Jack. He needs to konw to allocate a flogging to the pilot and cabin boy for failure to provide a post on the day promised above :-). Your patient audience awaits in eager anticipation.

  4. Ah I was beginning to wonder if everyone was okay….not eaten by a shark or attacked by a snake or spider.
I did not notice the October bit ….I have had your page open on my tabs the whole time 😂

    1. Yes, there was a big gap, but I've enjoyed reliving the experience as I continue to update them.
